Licensed asbestos removal works were completed at Leeds Rail Station to address asbestos insulating board residues and debris within undercroft areas of the operational station. Associated rooms also required removal of asbestos floor tiles and bitumen adhesive, managed through controlled sequencing and effective segregation. Site controls included enclosure where required, monitored removal techniques, and close supervision to protect staff, the public and station operations.
Cleaning and verification checks confirmed the areas were left in a safe condition for reoccupation. Completion provided a clean, controlled environment enabling follow-on refurbishment, reinstatement and electrical works to proceed without delay within agreed access windows.
